ML’s talent has been previously noted by Brian Dobbs, producer of Bon Jovi, Metallica and The Cult.

Howard Rosen Promotion artist Lowline receiving great reviews

Howard Rosen Promotion artist (www.howiewood.com) Lowline has been receiving great reviews on their debut album.

‘Possibly the best debut album I’ve ever heard. Every song on the album rings with unbridled energy. Lowline’s is a darkly brilliant sound, full of textured guitar seamlessly integrating into each next track. (Listen to it in order, you’ll be amazed) “Outside”, the single released for free on iTunes, has gotten the most popularity but the other tracks are also top notch. “Here I Lie”, with it’s brooding bass line, hints at Joy Division’s angst without straying from a different sonic atmosphere. “Gun In My Side”, with its energetically driven guitar, is just as heady as “Outside”. There are hints of influences…a bit of Oasis (can’t fault that, having been produced by a member of them), a bit of Bunnymen, but Lowline are already looking more promising from the start with such a stunning debut. Who knows what heights they’ll rise to’.

Thank you to AnCatKatie for that review on iTunes USA.

On posting this we should point out that our album was mixed by George Shilling and Seadna McPhail. Our earlier 7″ Singles were recorded by Oasis producer Owen Morris but none of these are featured on the album.

Welcome to Howard Rosen’s Blog

I began my career with stints at Bell Records and Elektra working with artists such as The Partridge Family, Barry Manilow, Mountain, the Doors, Carly Simon and Harry Chapin.
Next I became Sr. VP of Promotion at Casablanca Records in 1977, breaking such acts as Donna Summer, KISS, The Village People and Parliament.

In 1980, I became president of Bearsville Records and was instrumental in the success of Todd Rundgren, Utopia and Foghat. After Bearsville, I was Sr. VP of Promotion at Warner/Reprise working with many artists who are still relevant today: Prince, Van Halen, Fleetwood Mac, Madonna, Rod Stuart, Doobie Brothers and Frank Sinatra.

In 1984, I was recruited by Motown Records and hired as VP of Promotion and Marketing, working with such artists as Lionel Richie, Smokey Robinson and the Temptations. This was followed by a couple of years at A&M where I was Director of Special Projects.

In 1985, I decided to start my own companies: Howard Rosen Promotion, Inc. and Take Out Management, Inc. Here, I’ve applied my years of label experience to make a successful full service Independent Radio Promotion Company that is still going strong over 20 years later.

Thanks for checking out my blog and come back often for advice on promotion and news about our breakthroughs.
